AUSTRIA AND GERMANY CREATE JOINT VENTURE ON TRANSCASPIAN GAS PIPELINE PROJECT
Baku, 23 January (AzerTAc). “The Austrian Oil and Gas Company OMV and German RWE create joint venture on development, building and questions of the property and operational management of the gas transport system through the Caspian” the analytical Agency "Argusmedia" reported.
Registered in London, the joint venture “Caspian Energy” will begin study technical
and legal issues connected with lining of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline in next
year. As stated, RWE and OMV are ready to give shares in the enterprise to suitable
partners.
OMV and RWE are participants of the "Nabucco" project. The Trans-Caspian gas
pipeline should become a part of this project.
