Malaysian PM's Wife Visits Museums In Lima
From Leslean Arshad
LIMA, Nov 21 (Bernama) -- Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Malaysian Prime Minister, Sunday visited museums in Peru's capital as part of the spouses programme of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting.
Rosmah, who accompanied her husband Najib Razak who attended the two-day APEC leaders' meeting in this Peruvian capital, visited Amano Museum that is renowned for its outstanding collection of more than 600 textile works from the pre-Columbian Peruvian cultures.
Along with the spouses of the other leaders from Singapore, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam and Taipei, Rosmah also visited the Museum of Huaca Huallamarca.
This museum is an important archaeological monument believed to be a ceremonial centre in San Isidro district in Lima.
At the museum, the spouses were entertained by the Symphony Orchestra of Colegio Virgen del Rosario, a children’s orchestra from the outskirts of Lima.
The spouses were then taken to the private residence of the President of Peru for lunch hosted by the First Lady of Peru, Nancy Lange Kuczynksi.
