COE KEEN ON DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONSHIP WITH AZERBAIJAN, COE SECRETARY GENERAL`S SPECIAL ENVOY

Baku, 24 January (AzerTAc). International organizations, including Council of Europe are becoming increasingly interested in close cooperation with Azerbaijan, said CoE Secretary General`s special representative to Azerbaijan Ms. Veronica Kotek.

She said international community keeps a close eye on rapid development in
Azerbaijan and country`s role in Europe`s energy security. Special envoy said the
Council of Europe is keen on development of relations with Azerbaijan.
She said Azerbaijan respects the CoE obligations. Kotek found a need to implement
joint Azerbaijan-CoE projects to deepen cooperation even more.
Ms. Veronica Kotek pointed out that the organization will implement several projects
in Azerbaijan regarding fighting corruption, improving medical services in prisons,
holding trainings for judges.
