Appeal of Int'l Preparatory Committee for 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons Supported

Pyongyang, November 28 (KCNA) -- A Nepalese National Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu issued a statement on Nov. 16 in support of an appeal made by the International Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu. The statement said that the year 2017 is of significance as it marks the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the 75th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il and the 5th anniversary of supreme leader Kim Jong Un's assumption of the top party and state posts in the DPRK. It went on: The International Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt. Paektu and national preparatory committees should organize various political and cultural events on a worldwide scale to give wide publicity to the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un and thus make great contributions to accomplishing the human cause of independence. Meanwhile, Norma G. Binas, vice-president of the Philippines Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula, issued a statement on Nov. 20 in congratulation of the formation of the International Preparatory Committee for the 2017 Meeting Praising Great Persons of Mt.
