Johor Soft Darts Contest Paves Way For International Exposure

MUAR (Johor, Malaysia) Dec 1 (Bernama) -- The one-day 2016 Johor Soft Darts championship on Dec 11 could pave the way for the winners to represent the country at the Taiwan Open Soft Darts Tournament in February. Its organiser, Chia Man Yuan said the championship scheduled from 9 am to 6 pm was aimed at unearthing new talents in the sport. He said the championship will be contested in two categories, individual open and under-21 open, with participation fee of US$11.19 (RM50) and US$6.71 (RM30) respectively. "The champions for each category will take home a cash prize of RM500, trophy and certificate while the runners-up and third place winners get RM300 and RM200 with trophy and certificate respectively," he said when contacted by Bernama Wednesday. Chia said apart from the prizes, the champion and runner-up for each category would also be selected to represent the country at the Taiwan Open Soft Darts Championship. (US$1 = RM4.46) -- BERNAMA
