Vopak Horizon Fujairah Limited marks a decade of success
Fujairah, Jan 27, 2009 (WAM) - H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, graced a ceremony organised by Vopak Horizon Fujairah Limited to celebrate the company's 10 year anniversary.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the board of Vopak Horizon Fujairah Limited donated an amount of Dhs700,000 to the Fujairah community. The amount will be spent on educational causes such as providing support to schools and learning institutes in Fujairah and the training and development of the Emirati workforce in the petroleum industry in the Emirate of Fujairah.
Vopak Horizon Fujairah Limited terminal initially had a capacity of only 500,000 cbm. Today, it can offer customers about 1.5 million cbm of storage capacity. The terminal has developed over the years into one of the main bunkering centres in the world and as an important hub for the clean petroleum product and fuel oil trade in the Middle East. Vopak Horizon Fujairah Limited has an excellent track record on safety and service and has recently obtained the ISO 14001 for environmental management.
