Emarat recognised for its sponsorship of the Emirates Energy Awards
Dubai, Jan 27, 2009 (WAM) - HH Sheikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Civil Aviation Department, Chairman of Dubai Airports, honoured Emarat for its effective sponsorship of the Emirates Energy Award which was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Dubai, in a ceremony which took place at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai, and was attended by all the sponsors of the awards.
Representing Emarat in receiving its award was Randa Habayeb, Manager PR and Advertising at the Corporate Communications Section at the Corporation.
Hussein Kazim, Manager Corporate Communications at Emarat praised the initiative which was launched by the organizers of Emirates Energy Awards in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Energy. The imitative invited elementary students in both public and private schools of the United Arab Emirates to participate in the Emirates Drawing Competition for Energy Preservation. We hope that this project and all the ensuing initiatives will be able raise educational, social and economic awareness in the UAE.
Kazim added that energy is one of the most effective factors in social and economic growth, as it enables the countries to improve their living standards and realize the future aspirations of their citizens. And in this aspect, oil and petroleum products are considered key elements and vital factors in all kinds of goods production, including the development of food sources, cooling during the hot summers, heating in the cold winters, and it can immensely contribute in making our lives, safer, healthier and happier.
'As a national corporation, we are committed to meeting our consumers' needs of petroleum products. We have given high priority to supporting the economic growth in our country' he said.
The competition which was launched in February 2008 aims at honouring creative and talented students and encourages them to preserve energy.
