New UAE relief convoy sent to Gaza Strip
Gaza, Jan 27, 2009 (WAM) - To alleviate dire humanitarian conditions there, a new UAE aid convoy, including 100 tons of flour has been sent to Gaza. The convoy was organised by the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) in Conjunction with the Egyptian, Palestinian Red Crescent Societies.
Ali Ahmed Nasser Al Mil Al Za'abi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, hailed the gesture of the UAE leadership to ease suffering of Gazans in the wake of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. The remarks were made at the reception held by the ambassador in Cairo today in favour of the RCA delegation.
