Perak SFO Launches Rohingya Humanitarian Fund

IPOH (Perak, Malaysia) Dec 14 (Bernama) -- The Perak State Farmers' Organisation (SFO) Wednesday launched the Rohingya Humanitarian Fund to collect donations to help the ethnic Rohingyas in Myanmar. Its chairman Nadzri Ismail said so far they had raised RM5,000 and the contributions would be submitted to the Media Prima Bhd that handled the fund collection. "We will be recommending that all Area Farmers Organisations in Perak as well as their members make contributions. "There is no specific time frame for these funds and it will be continued from time to time as long as the Rohingyas need help," he told reporters after launching the Rohingya Humanitarian Fund here Wednesday. -- BERNAMA
