PLATFORM FOR STABILITY AND COOPERATION IN CAUCASUS CAN BE SIGNED THIS YEAR


Istanbul, 27 January (AzerTAc). Experts think that the Caucasus Stability and
Cooperation Platform can be signed this year. According to them,
Azerbaijan-Turkey-Armenia relations play an important role in signing this document.

Talks on the Caucasus Stability and Cooperation Platform held in Istanbul may be
considered productive. Ankara is insistent that this platform be signed this year.
During the meeting of senior officials of foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Turkey,
Georgia, Russia and Armenia, establishment of peace and security in the region was
described as the main condition for creation of the platform.
The meeting also discussed importance of joint efforts to solve existing conflicts
and ensure peace in the region.
Officials reaffirmed their support for the platform and agreed to continue their
meetings.
Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Araz Azimov said official Baku will
further continue its efforts during talks on the platform.
