Malaysia Condemns Assassination Of Russian Ambassador To Turkey

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 20 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Tuesday strongly condemned the assassination of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, Andrey G. Karlov, who was gunned down at an art gallery in Ankara on Monday. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement the attack, which reportedly left three others injured, was a barbaric and heinous act. It said the perpetrators of the cowardly incident must be swiftly brought to justice. The ministry said the Malaysian government expressed its deepest condolences to Karlov's family and the Russian government. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and loved ones during this difficult period," it said. -- BERNAMA
