Abu Dhabi calls Luxembourg tech. firms to form joint ventures in UAE
Abu Dhabi, Jan 29, 2009 (WAM) - Otaiba Saeed Al Otaiba, Head of Real Estate Committee, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), called yesterday on producers and providers of advanced technology in Luxembourg to enter into joint ventures with UAE companies in order to facilitate transfer of technology that serves national future plans.
Speaking during a meeting with senior economic officials of Luxembourg, Al Otaiba said trade exchange between the UAE and Luxembourg reached Dh 175 million by the end of 2007 while that of Abu Dhabi-Luxembourg stood at Dh 27 million.
''More efforts are needed to increase trade and investment exchange and boost economic cooperation through exchange of visits of trade delegations and engagement in trade exhibitions held in both countries," he added.
''ADCCI is ready to extend all possible assistance and support to spur Luxembourg companies invest in our markets," he affirmed.
