Successes Made in Education in 2016

Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- A solid springboard has been provided for building a power of talents in the DPRK this year through radical improvement in education in the new century. Great progress has been made in the drive for improving educational contents, creating the advantageous educational methods and generalizing it in the fields of higher education and general education, throughout the country. More than 110 universities and middle and primary schools put some 640 000 teaching programs on a pragmatic, integrated and modern basis and made more than 750 000 e-teaching programs. A big stride has been made in the work for improving the educational condition and environment. All the classrooms of nearly 10 universities, including Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, turned into multi-functional ones of high grade. The number of the multi-functional classrooms was put at over 23 000. Emulation for increasing study zeal was dynamically waged among students. Printing houses and publishing companies and units producing educational apparatuses produced a lot of educational supplies in time. Successes were also made in realizing the integration of education, scientific research and production. -0-
