BAKU STATE UNIVERSITY AND JAPANESE GUNMA UNIVERSITY SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT

Baku, January 28 (AzerTAc). Rector of Baku State University, MP, academician Abel Maharramov and President of the Gunma University of Japan Mamoru Suzuki signed an agreement to enhance cooperation between the two educational institutions.

Before the signing ceremony the two rectors shared information about their
Universities.
BSU rector told about the friendly ties between the two nations and recalled visit
of Azerbaijan’s nationawide leader Heydar Aliyev to Japan which gave impulse to
developing ties between the two countries.
He also underlined that today BSU is cooperating with some of Japanese leading
higher Institutions, stressing that about 36 students studying Japanese language in
BSU and have opportunity to paractice in Japan with the support of Japanese
Government.
Mr. Suzuki, in turn, told about Gunma University’s history, activity and expressed
his confidence on further cooperation in the field of education.
Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Masamitsu Oki also told about the importance of
cooperation and expressed his confidence on further developing of these ties.
