Muslims Must Understand Palestine Issues Deeply Without Influence Of Militant Ideology - M'sia's Perlis State Crown Prince
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- Muslims must have a deep understanding on Palestine issues without being influenced by militant ideology and subversive elements, said the Perlis Crown Prince Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail.
According to a press statement issued by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs), he said such a measure was important to ensure any action by Muslims when dealing with the issue do not contravene with what has been outlined in Islam.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also MAIPs president suggested a continuous intellectual discourse with open minds and without being emotional so that the issue discussed would have a clear direction.
He said this after witnessing the handing over of MAIPs' tithe to Ibnu Sabil 'asnaf' worth US$2,226 (RM10,000) via the Malaysian Consulate General office in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, China.
The simple but meaningful ceremony in Hong Kong Saturday was graced by the Queen of the Malaysian state of Perlis Tuanku Tengku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid and the Ruler (Raja) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also said MAIPs had always opened its doors to discuss issues concerning Islam and would continue to invite international Muslim scholars to Perlis from time to time.
