PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV MEETS PRESIDENT AND CEO OF STATOILHYDRO HELGE LUND IN DAVOS

Davos, 28 January (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met in Davos
with President and CEO of StatoilHydro Helge Lund.
Helge Lund said successful cooperation with Azerbaijan`s State Oil Company was
underway within “Shah Deniz-1” and “Shah Deniz-2” projects. He, however, stressed
the necessity of speeding up work on “Shah Deniz-2” project.
President Ilham Aliyev briefed Helge Lund on his country`s accomplishments in energy
sector. He said Azerbaijan`s
international energy cooperation is being enhanced, with the country playing more
and more important role in ensuring Europe`s energy security.
The Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence his country`s cooperation with the
world`s leading companies including StatoilHydro would continue to enhance.
