Removal of Military Standoff and Danger of War between North and South of Korea Urged

Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Positive measure should be taken to avoid acute military conflict and remove the danger of war between the north and the south in order to save the Koreans from the crisis of a war, improve the inter-Korean relations and make a new breakthrough in national reunification, Rodong Sinmun Thursday stresses in an article. The article says: It is the consistent stand of the DPRK to safeguard the security of the compatriots and peace of the country without fighting with the fellow countrymen. The DPRK will as ever make positive efforts to preserve peace on the Korean peninsula and security of the nation. Today the peninsula has turned into the biggest hotbed in the world, the hotbed of a nuclear war, owing to the U.S. aggression strategy to dominate Asia and its reckless war provocation moves. This being a hard reality, the south Korean puppet authorities are getting frantic in the provocation of war against the north in collusion with the U.S., their master, while getting vocal about the "nuclear threat from the north".
