Incheon United FC signs Serbian coach

SEOUL, Jan. 29 (Yonhap) -- South Korean football club Incheon United FC said
Thursday it has signed a one-year contract with Serbian head coach Ilija
Petkovic.
Petkovic, 63, who led a Japanese football club in 1998, will take helm of the
club for one year. He was invited as a technical advisor early this month and
will be one of four foreigners leading South Korean professional football teams.
The team, based in the port of Incheon, west of Seoul, finished seventh out of 14
last season under the leadership of former coach Chang Woe-ryong who left for
Japan last month to lead a Japanese football club.
The South Korean club has declined to disclose details of the contract.
