Mental Health, Future Of Humanity On Menu At 15th Davos Open Forum

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- The Open Forum Davos 2017, to be held in parallel with the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2017, is organising a series of panel discussions in Davos, Switzerland, from Jan 17-20. In a statement, WEF said the forum, which is open to public, include topics such as leading in divided times, being human in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, mental health and race against racism, will be discussed. "The public is invited to join the sessions live in Davos or via webcast on www.weforum.org/open-forum," it said, adding that the forum is opening a unique window onto the most challenging debates of our time. Panellist at the Open Forum include public figures, chief executive officers (CEO) and chairs, social entrepreneurs, experts and academics from Switzerland and around the world. Among those listed are LinkedIn Corporation Co-Founder, Allen Blue; Nestle Chairman, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe; United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Rights to Freedom of Peaceful Assembly and of Association, Maina Kiai; International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President, Peter Maurer; and Italy's Minister of Economy and Finance, Pier Carlo Padoan. The debates could be followed using the Open Forum Twitter account: @OpenForumDavos or through hashtags, #WEF #openforum. Some of the sessions will be broadcast by Swiss Television (SF-info), available on YouTube after the event. Meanwhile, the 47th WEF Annual Meeting will take place on Jan 17-20 in Davos, under the theme "Responsive and Responsible Leadership." More than 3,000 participants from nearly 100 countries will participate in over 400 sessions.
