22nd Paektusan Prize Sports Contest among Officials of National Institutions Opens

Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- The 22nd Paektusan Prize Sports Contest among Officials of National Institutions was opened with due ceremony at the Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street here on Monday to mark the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il. The contest is to be held at Kim Il Sung Stadium, Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street, Meari Shooting Gallery and other places till February 14, divided into four groups. Its participants will compete in such events as basketball, volleyball, badminton, Taekwon-do, shooting and tug of war and sporting and amusement games. -0-
