GEORGI PARVANOV: BULGARIAN GOVERNMENT HAS SIGNED PRINCIPLE GAS AGREEMENTS WITH AZERBAIJAN, EGYPT AND TURKMENISTAN IN 2008
Baku, January 30 (AzerTAc). “Bulgarian government has signed last year principle gas agreements with Azerbaijan, Egypt and Turkmenistan.
These states can provide Bulgaria with 4 billion cubic meters of gas”, visiting Japan Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov was quoted as saying in an interview to the country`s business
newspaper Nikkei.
He added Bulgaria is intended to expand transportation of energy resources.
Touching upon the Nabucco project, the Bulgarian President stressed “in this project
Bulgaria will play a role of transit country. But we would like to be ready for
suspensions occurred recently in gas transportation and will try to expand importing
energy resources”.
