Emirates News Agency, Spanish News Agency discuss media cooperation
Abu Dhabi, February 1, 2009 (WAM) - Emirates News Agency (WAM) and the Spanish News Agency have pledged to further cooperate on exchanging news, photographs and TV news delivered to their subscribers worldwide.
This was discussed yesterday at WAM office here between Ibrahim Al Abed, Director General of WAM and Fouad Abdul Rahim, Regional Director of the Spanish News Agency in the Middle East.
Abdul Rahim said the Spanish News Agency could dispatch WAM stories to thousands of major newspapers in Europe and Latin America to publish daily activities of the UAE abroad. He stressed that the two sides were keen to bolster media cooperation between them, particularly in news flow and media training.
Based on this agreement, WAM in turn will dispatch through the Internet the Spanish News Agency stories to its subscribers across the globe in line with the media cooperation agreement.
WAM and the Spanish News Agency signed media cooperation agreement on Jan. 27, 2008, to swap news on media, economic, political and tourist activities between the two countries.
