Malaysia Holds Firm to Principles in Probe Into Kim Jong-Nam's Death- PM Najib
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak said Tuesday Malaysia is not a pawn of any country and will hold firm to its principles in investigating the death of Kim Jong-nam, the elder half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
He said that as a sovereign country, Malaysia would not be pressured or bullied into any form of action that is not deemed correct.
"As I said before, we have had good relations with North Korea all this while, and we have no reason to paint with a negative brush in terms of the image of North Korea, and we are very objective.
"Malaysia will stand firm. We will be guided by the principles of the rule of law to find out the truth because the crime was committed in Malaysia," he said at a press conference after officiating at the 1Malaysia Training Scheme (SL1M) Central Zone Open Interview Programme 2017 here Tuesday.
