Health cooperation with Italy discussed

Manama, Feb. 22 (BNA): Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh has received Italy's Ambassador to Bahrain, Domenico Balato, wishing him success in his diplomatic mission and praising the bilateral ties in various fields, particularly the health sector. They discussed the health-releated cooperation, including visits by Italian physicians to Bahrain to exchange medical expertise with doctors in Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) in line with the directives of the Kingdom's leadership to invest in health cooperation between the two countries and open new vistas that will serve patients' needs and the provision of advanced medical treatment locally as per internationally-accredited efficient quality medical standards. The ambassador praised the advanced level of specialized medical services provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain's hospitals and health centres (HCs).
