Hamdan wins GCC Humanitarian Work Award
Manama, February 2, 2009 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority ( RCA), has been awarded the Humanitarian Work Award of the Gulf Cooperation Council for his proactive, leading role in launching the relief campaign for Gaza, it was announced here today.
Chairman of Al Badeel Consultancy and Events Management Centre Adel Al Marzouqi told a press conference today that a number of high profile personalities from other GCC member countries also won the award.
He said Sheikh Hamdan, also Chairman of UAE Foreign Aid Coordination Office, would be honoured along with other winners in special ceremony to be held next April.
