Kuala Lumpur Hospital Provides Tents For Media Personnel Covering Kim Jong-Nam's Death
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) has put up tents with a table and chairs for the media personnel who had been 'camping' in front of its National Institute of Forensic Medicine (IPFN) to cover the murder case of North Korean Kim Jong-nam.
According to an HKL spokesman, the order to provide the facilities came from the hospital's director, Dr Zaininah Mohd Zain, who was concerned over the
safety and health of the media personnel who had been braving hot weather and rains since Feb 15.
"A total of two tents with a table and 20 chairs were put up in front of the IPFN for the media personnel," said the spokesman, here Friday.
A local daily photographer, Mohd Firdaus Abdul Latif, 26, thanked the hospital management for their concern, especially on the photographers.
"We have been camping here since Feb 15, we face difficulties to take pictures and videos during heavy rains. Besides, we are also worried that our
cameras and laptops will be damaged," he said.
On Feb 13, Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was at the KL International Airport 2 (klia2) at 8am to catch a flight to Macau
when he was attacked by two women, one of whom covered his face with what was believed to be a poison-laced cloth.
Jong-nam, who carried a passport bearing the name Kim Chol, reportedly died on the way to the Putrajaya Hospital before his body was taken to IPFN.
