'Bahrain voluntary, humanitarian work leader'

Manama, Feb. 26 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister, Ali bin Mohammed Al-Romaihi, has lauded the kingdom's leading voluntary and social work achievements emanating from the religious and human values, as well as the prevailing equality and social solidarity, highlighting the increasing role of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) and civil society organisations within the civilisational project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
While receiving the Board of Directors of the Muharraq Charity Society, led by Salah Mohammed Bu Hassan, the minister valued highly the national and humanitarian role played by charity societies and funds in deepening social partnership and spreading the values of cordiality and compassion across the Bahraini society through their efforts in taking care of orphans, widows and the elderly, as well as in supporting needy families.
The Information Minister affirmed the kingdom's support to voluntary work, launch of social and voluntary projects and delivery of relief and development aid to brotherly and friendly countries all over the world, in line with the directives of HM the King.
He expressed pride in the kingdom's ranking first in the Arab World and 13th in the world in the World Giving Index in appreciation of its humanitarian initiatives.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Muharraq Charity Society expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the minister for his efforts to develop media work, and highlight the contributions of civil society organisations to serving society in various media outlets.
