International Innovative Craft Fair 2017 to be held this month

BANGKOK, March 11 (TNA) -- The Support Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (SACICT) is set to organise the International Innovative Craft Fair 2017 or IICF 2017 later this month, gathering outstanding arts and crafts in one place to stress on the idea that arts and crafts could be implemented to fit into our every day lives. SACICT Chieff Executive Officer Ms Amparwan Pichalai said that the hosting of the IICF 2017, the 6th of its kind, is aimed to help propel the grassroot economy in line with the government's policy on internal economic development, while also helping to stimulate the new generation to participate in continuing the Thai arts and crafts. She said this year's festival would focus on innovative crafts which are easily accessible, modern, and answer the need in our daily routine. Apart from exhibiting products created by the local folk wisdom of the Thai people from various locations under 350 booths, dividing into products made from nature, products with new designs, presents and souvenirs, as well as crafts and arts from 12 educational institutions, visitors are encouraged to enjoy various exhibition, including a products on His late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's art works and crafts. A workshop would also be set up at the fair for the visitors to get hands on experience on creating crafts and arts. IICF 2017 is scheduled to be held between 23-26, 2017 at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre or BITEC Bang Na. (TNA)
