MALAYSIA'S ASTRO GRABS 50 PCT OF INDIA'S MOGAE DIGITAL
NEW DELHI, Feb 3 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's Astro All Asia Networks Plc, has acquired a 50 percent stake worth US$5 million in Mogae Digital, a leading Indian online firm.
The Economic Times of India today reported that the joint venture would
provide Astro with a strong platform to interact with its audience in the new
media.
"Mogae Digital has the creative understanding required to speak to a diverse
audience in the emerging new media space.
"The products that they have created are versatile and effectively engage
consumers at different levels.
"Given Astro's already large interest in the media space, Mogae Digital will
be good addition to our bouquet," Astro group executive director Raghavendra
Madhav, was quoted as saying by the paper.
Mogae Digital is jointly owned by Sandeep Goyal and Tanya Goyal, who are
both Indian joint venture partners of Japan's advertising giant Dentsu Inc.
The Goyals have three advertising agencies under Dentsu, which handle
advertising accounts for large corporate companies like Canon, Honda, Toyota,
Raymond, Thomas Cook and FedEx, reported the Economic Times.
