M'sian Men Players' Challenge Fizzles Out At British Squash Open

KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's challenge in the men's category at the British Open Squash Championships ended after the only player left standing, Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan lost in the final qualifying match of the tournament in England late Monday (Tuesday in Malaysia). The top national player put up a stiff resistance against hosts player Adrian Waller before losing 11-6, 3-11, 16-14, 1-11 and 6-11 in the match held at University of Hull, according to the tournament's website;www.allambritishopensquash2017.com. Ivan Yuen was eliminated from the tournament on Sunday after losing to French player, Gregoire Marche in the first qualifying match. Malaysian squash queen, Nicol David who is a five-time British Open champion, will kick off her campaign against Olivia Blatchford of the United States in the opening round late Tuesday (Wednesday in Malaysia).
