Malindo Air To Use Boeing 737 Max Aircraft
KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 (Bernama) -- Malindo Air will be the first airline to operate the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in commercial service.
In a statement Tuesday, Malindo Air said, it currently operated a jet fleet of all Boeing Next-Generation 737s and would take delivery of up to four Boeing 737 MAXs this year.
Malindo Air Chief Executive Officer, Chandran Rama Muthy, said the airline was proud to be the world's first carrier to fly passengers on this state-of-the-art innovation.
"This new aircraft allows Malindo Air to go to further destinations at a distance of seven hours 30 minutes and help attract tourists to Malaysia.
"As tourism is a key revenue generator for the country, this new aircraft will play a key role in providing lower fares on air travel," he said.
