Malaysia Climb Four Rungs To 157th Place In FIFA Ranking

KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 (Bernama) -- Malaysia have climbed four rungs in the latest International Football Federation (FIFA) world ranking to be in 157th place, Thursday. The Harimau Malaya squad obtained 64.6 points after a goalless draw with The Philippines in a class A international friendly fixture in Manila recently, which helped Malaysia to accumulate a total of 146 points to move up from 161st place. Malaysia are now in the company of countries like Sudan and South Sudan, sharing the 154th place, Papua New Guinea (156), Moldova (158), Singapore (159) and Mauritius (160). Malaysia ranked 161st in January before slipping to 162nd place in February and back to 161st in March. FIFA's ranking involves 209 countries worldwide. -- BERNAMA
