Bahrain to host Gulf Education Future Technology Forum

Manama, Apr. 18 (BNA): Tamkeen is set to be a strategic partner for the upcoming Gulf Education Future Technology Forum (GEFT) to be organised by the Bahraini Society of Technology Companies (BTECH).
The forum will take place on May 2-3 at the Gulf Convention Centre under the patronage of the Minister of Education Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, themed "Digital Transformation in Education" and focused on ICT solutions to enhance education.
"ICT is transforming schools and universities across the world, and it is important for Bahraini students to also have access to the latest digital educational products," Dr. Ebrahim Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen said.
"Tamkeen extends its support, through this strategic partnership with GEFT, to private sector enterprises working to develop e-learning solutions, services, and products for schools and universities, as part of its efforts to serve the nation’s students. Tamkeen is committed to equipping Bahrainis with the skills necessary to thrive in the workplace and to promote Bahrainis as the employee of choice in the labour market," he added.
Al Obaidly, Chairman of BTECH said, "Our partnership with Tamkeen enables us to engage in initiatives and programmes which will benefit the private sector and contribute to national development. One of our aims is to provide training sessions to teachers, and to empower them to make best use of technology to serve their students."
