PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV ACCEPTS CREDENTIAL OF SRI LANKAN AMBASSADOR

Baku, February 6 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today has accepted
credentials of newly appointed ambassador of Sri Lanka Muhammad Zuhair.

The diplomat conveyed greetings of Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa to
President Ilham Aliyev. Zuhair assured the Head of State that he would do his best
to expand bilateral relations between the two nations during his tenure in
Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev pointed out there are good opportunities to boost
Azerbaijan-Sri Lanka relations and stressed the need to use them effectively.
The Head of State asked the ambassador to pass on his greetings to his Sri Lankan
counterpart.
