34 Thai Students Take Part In English Language Summer Camp In Perlis

ARAU (Perlis, Malaysia), May 2 (Bernama) -- A total 34 primary and secondary students from the Muslim Wittaya School in Phuket, Thailand attended the English Language Summer Camp organised by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Perlis. The idea of organising the summer camp came about following a visit by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) headed by its president, the Crown Prince of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail to Phuket last year. The students, who were accompanied by six teachers, not only studied English during the camp but they were also involved in numerous activities which enabled them to experience the learning environment and cultural diversity in Malaysia specifically Perlis. The students, aged eight to 15 years, were also joined by students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Derma and Sekolah Kebangsaan Putra, Kangar. The 12-day camp ended Sunday. -- BERNAMA
