MCOT, TAT to organize "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017"

BANGKOK, May 5 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a most established Thai media firm, has joined forces with the state-run Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to organize the "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017" pageant in July, in which the crowned Thai lady will be appointed the Kingdom's tourism ambassador to publicize the Thai culture and identity globally. TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn, MCOT President Khematat Paladej and a representative of ERM (Thailand) Company signed an agreement to co-organize the "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017" pageant at MCOT head office in Bangkok on Friday. People in Thailand are also welcome to send the names of candidates they vote for the "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017" via the short message service (SMS) on their mobile phones through No.4111101 from June 20 until 6pm on July 12. The "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017" pageant will be broadcast live on 9MCOT TVHD channel on July 13 during 10pm-12pm (Thailand's time). The most qualified lady to be crowned "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017" is to be well-equipped with knowledge and experiences on Thai tourist sites to graciously perform her role as the Kingdom's honorable tourism ambassador during her tenure. Besides, "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017", who will also receive a cash prize and a plaque of honor, will work together with TAT to publicize Thai tourist sites and identity internationally. "Miss Tourism Queen Thailand 2017" will also represent the Kingdom to contest "Miss Tourism Queen International 2017", to be held in Wenzhou City of China's southeastern Zhejiang Province in September.
