AZERBAIJAN, KUWAIT SIGN INTERGOVERNMENTAL DOCUMENTS



Kuwait City, February 10 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan and Kuwait have signed here at Bayan
Palace several intergovernmental documents in the presence of President Ilham Aliyev
and Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Kuwait`s Deputy Premier, Foreign
Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Salim al-Sabah signed an agreement for the creation of a
Joint commission on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan
and the Government of the State of Kuwait; Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economic
Development Shahin Mustafayev and Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shamali signed
an agreement for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments between the
Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait;
Azerbaijani Minister of Taxes Fazil Mammadov and Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa
Al-Shamali signed an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to
taxes on income and on property and prevention of tax evasion between the Government
of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait;
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev and Kuwait`s
Minister of Trade and Industry and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad Baqer
Al-Abdullah signed a trade agreement between the Government of the Republic of
Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Kuwait; Azerbaijan`s Minister of
Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev and Kuwait`s Minister of Trade and Industry and
Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmad Baqer Al-Abdullah signed and agreement
on tourism cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the
Government of the State of Kuwait.
