CHIEF OF STATE COMMITTEE FOR WOMEN`S AFFAIRS MEETS WB COUNTRY MANAGER FOR AZERBAIJAN

Baku, February 11 (AzerTAc). Chairperson of the Azerbaijan State Committee for
Family, Women and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova met Wednesday with visiting
World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan Gregory Jedrzejczak.

Huseynova briefed Jedrzejczak on activities of her committee. She stressed the
necessity of cooperation with international economic structures.
She also spoke of the importance of women`s active participation in society.
Jedrzejczak, in turn, told of the possibility of increasing women`s role in carrying
out the World Bank-funded projects in Azerbaijan.
The sides also focused on prospects for bilateral cooperation.
