CZECH PRIME MINISTER TOPOLANEK CONFERS KAREL KRAMAR MEDAL UPON PERSONS CONTRIBUTING TO CZECH-AZERBAIJANI TIES
Baku, February 13 (AzerTAc). Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek presented a Karel Kramar medal to Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, Azerbaijani ambassador in Czechia Tahir Tagizade, rector of the Baku Slavonic University Kamal Abdullayev, movie maker and writer Rustam Ibrahimbeyov in recognition of their contributions to Azerbaijani-Czech relations.
Strategic importance of Azerbaijan-Czech relations and the need for deepening them
was stressed during the ceremony. Topolanek praised the existing level of bilateral
relationship in the political, economic and other fields. He noted Azerbaijan-Czech
ties would continue to develop on the basis of friendship and cooperation.
Foreign Minister Mammadyarov expressed confidence that bilateral relations would
continue to develop. Minister hailed Czech Republic`s intention to open its embassy
in Baku. According to him, it will contribute to development of bilateral ties.
