LEE: USE SPORTS TO FIGHT DRUGS
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Government should recognise
the power of sports in its fight against drugs, said Malaysia Crime Prevention
Foundation Vice-Chairman (MCPF) Lee Lam Thye.
He said the government needed to provide more sports facilities and
recreational spaces for youth and teenagers.
"As for state governments, they should ensure all local authorities provide
adequate sports amenities in our cities, towns and districts to help
produce a healthy body and mind, and not succumb to drugs," he said in a
statement here Saturday.
Lee said more football fields, badminton and basketball courts and
affordable sports amenities for the young should be provided.
