ARENA, MIEA To Host Malaysia's ACE 2017

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 (Bernama) -- The ASEAN Real Estate Network Alliance (ARENA) and the Malaysian Institute of Estate Agents (MIEA) would host the ARENA Convention and Exhibition 2017 (ACE 2017) for the first time in Malaysia from Aug 25-27, 2017. In a statement Friday, ARENA said, ACE 2017 would discuss cross-culture practices, skills and knowledge to provide opportunities for real estate practitioners to expand and have greater regional reach. ARENA said the event, themed, ‘Making friends and connecting businesses’, also hoped to provide access to alternative markets to address the current economic uncertainties in the local property market. Organising Chairman/Secretary General for ACE 2017, Soma Sundram, said ACE 2017 was the best platform to connect practitioners from eight national real estate associations from Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar. "With intra-ASEAN trade valued at US$305 billion in 2015, there are many opportunities for property-related investment throughout the region,” said Soma. He said the event was expected to attract over 600 participants from ASEAN, the US and the UK. Meanwhile, Chairman of Council for Presidents for ARENA and President of MIEA, Eric Lim, said ACE 2017 would also cover topics on doing cross-border sales using technology as the latest real estate method to market properties, showcasing Malaysians hotspots to attract foreign investment, performance of regional real estate markets and the effect of full liberalisation on the real estate service sector. -- BERNAMA
