Shah Alam To Host Taiwan-Malaysia Cross Border E-Commerce Forum

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 23 (Bernama) -- The ‘Taiwan Day’ Taiwan-Malaysia Cross-Border E-Commerce Forum will be held in Shah Alam next month as one of the six-in-one event at the Selangor Smart City and Future Commerce Convention 2017 involving over 20 Taiwanese e-commerce businesses. Selangor Information Technology and E-Commerce Council (SITEC) Chief Executive Yong Kai Ping said the event would enable local businesses to build network with the Taiwanese’ e-commerce players in terms of partnering and investment opportunities. He said besides featuring seven Taiwanese e-commerce experts, who were successful in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, the Taiwan Day would have a business matching session for industry players from both countries. “The Taiwan Day celebrates the strengthening of cross-border e-commerce between Taiwan and Malaysia, and is a step towards the improvement of cross-border e-commerce in general,” he said in a statement. Meanwhile, SITEC Academy Director Goh Boon Peng said the event would also feature the Smart City, Future Commerce and Green City Conferences, an exhibition and the Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards. The one-day event is scheduled to be held on Sept 8, 2017 at the Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam, the capital city of Malaysia's selangor state.
