EPF INTRODUCES ANTI-FRAUD AND WHISTLEBLOWING POLICIES
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 (Bernama) -- The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has introduced new anti-fraud and whistleblowing policies to further enhance the prevention and detection of wrongdoings.
Its chairman, Samsudin Osman said in a statement Monday that the
introduction of the anti-fraud policy, would take the EPF to a higher level of
transparency and corporate responsibility.
"This move also exemplifies the EPF's zero-tolerance towards any attempt of
fraud," he said.
The EPF's new whistleblowing policy is to help protect any person who wishes
to report fraud and wrongdoings.
Under the policy, a report can be made against anyone connected with the
EPF, including members of the board or the investment panel, if fraud or any
wrongdoing is suspected.
"The anti-fraud and whistleblowing policies empower the staff and EPF
management to better uncover instances of fraud and deal with potential
wrongdoings in our operations," Samsudin added.
