AZERI OMBUDSPERSON ATTENDS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN GEORGIA
Baku, February 17 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s commissioner for Human Rights Elmira Suleymanova has attended an international conference dealing with the freedom of expression in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The event marking the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Public Defender`s
Institute of Georgia saw attendance of human rights experts from various countries
and international organizations, including Public Defender Sozar Subari, Council of
Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg and Greek Ombudsman Yorgos
Kaminis.
Suleymanova spoke to the conference covering the work done by the Azerbaijani
government to strengthen the protection of human rights and ensure the right to
freedom of expression in the country.
