ATSB TO LAUNCH RAZAKSAT BY MAY 2009
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 (Bernama) -- Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn Bhd (ATSB)is determined to launch the RazakSAT, which has been postponed for several years now, the latest by May 2009.
Its chief executive officer, Dr Ahmad Sabirin Arshad, said the
original plan was to launch the satellite in 2005, but it was delayed due to
problems with the launch vehicle and with the satellite itself.
"It will be in April/May time period," he told reporters when met at the
company's annual dinner here Tuesday.
The RazakSAT will be launched from Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands, he
said.
He said together with RazakSAT, two other satellites for educationas
purposes, namely CubeSAT and InnoSAT, would also be launched.
