M`SIAN KING LAUNCHES NATIONAL "DAKWAH" MONTH 2009
PUTRAJAYA, Feb 19 (Bernama) -- Malaysian King Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin
launched the national-level "Dakwah" Month 2009/1430H at the Putrajaya
International Convention Centre (PICC) here Thursday.
The event which started on Feb 15 is organised by the Malaysian Islamic
Missionary Foundation (Yadim) and will feature various programmes at the state
level including a halal carnival, regional seminar on the Islamic faith and an
inter-religious dialogue involving leaders of other religions including
Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism.
At a news conference later, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department
Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the inter-religious dialogue would not
involve politicians to avoid any problem.
The Dakwah Month has been revived after 31 years. The one was held in 1978.
