TURKEY`s ATTACHING IMPORTANCE TO AZERBAIJAN`s TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY IS CLEAR-CUT,

Baku. February 19 (AzerTAc). “Turkey`s attaching importance to Azerbaijan`s
territorial integrity is clear-cut, and there has been no changes to this policy”
Turkish Embassy in Baku said.

The statement issued by the Embassy said “Turkey`s position on the Nagorno-Karabakh
issue has been clearly declared by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Deputy
Premier Cemil Cicek and Chairman of the Turkey-Azerbaijan friendship group at the
Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Kabakci during their statements.”
The statement further reads: “Solving problems with all neighbors is one of the key
priorities in Turkey`s foreign policy. Negotiations to normalize bilateral relations
between Turkey and Armenia are conducted within this context as well. On the other
hand Armenia and Azerbaijan are also involved in a dialogue over the
Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Progress made in one of these processes may have a
positive impact on the other. Within this context, officials of Turkey and fraternal
Azerbaijan have been regularly conducting an exchange of views on the state of the
Turkey-Armenia talks. Commenting on media reports concerning the issue may
negatively impact both processes.”
