Baku, February 20 (AzerTAc). “Azerbaijan will soon state its position over joining European Union`s Eastern Partnership Program”, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahmud Mammadguliyev told journalists.

He said the Eastern Partnership Program is the policy within EU`s Neighborhood
Initiative, adding “six countries, including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova,
Ukraine and Belarus will join this program”.
According to the Deputy Minister, realization of the program will expand relations
with EU in various spheres and will give an opportunity to sign an agreement on
associative membership.
Expressing Azerbaijan`s interest over expansion of relations with EU, Mammadguliyev
said “our country has presented 130-page report on its work done in 2008 within
European Neighborhood Policy.”
