MUSICAL BROADWAY FOR CHARITY FUNDS

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 (Bernama) -- Scenes from famous broadways such as 'Oliver', 'Hello Dolly', 'Mary Poppins' and many more were brought on centre stage Friday night by the Association of Wives and Female Staff of Malaysia's national petroleum company, Petronas. The association is known as Petronita in short.

Choreographed by Farah Sulaiman and directed by Sabrina Hassan, the musical
theatre was delivered by popular Malaysian artistes Radhi Khalid, Peter Ong and
budding actors comprising primary and secondary school students.

Profits from the theatre will be donated to charity namely the Children
Dialysis Fund of the National Kidney Foundation, Mercy Malaysia (volunteer
relief organisation) for its medical relief programme in Gaza and Prince Court
Medical Centre's Eye Centre.

"Petronita hopes to help improve the quality and reach of treatment to the
affected children and raise public awareness on charities and funds designed to
assist children and people that need help the most," said Petronita president
Noraini Mohd Yusoff.

"DanSing thru Broadway" which opened yesterday (Friday) will end on Saturday
(Feb 21) at Auditorium Dewan Bandaraya (City Hall) Kuala Lumpur.
