ICT SECTOR ON RISE IN AZERBAIJAN

Baku, February 22 (AzerTAc). According to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Azerbaijan, postal and ICT sectors have grown by 32.1% in Azerbaijan for the past five years. ICT is the second fastest growing sector in Azerbaijan and second largest taxpayer after construction in the non-oil sector.

The volume of the ICT market size exceeded USD 900m in 2007 and rose to AZN 990.5 m
($1.2 bln) in 2008.
